FOUNDER & CEO

Meet Lisa (she/her), our founder and CEO. After 25 years blazing the trail of sustainable and impact investing, Lisa launched Figure 8 in 2016 to be a model of business working as a force for good.

Lisa leads Figure 8’s advisory team in working closely with clients to provide investment management, financial planning, and advice. She leads Figure 8’s research team to generate and analyze new investment ideas and to construct portfolios designed to achieve financial gains and social impact. Lisa oversees Figure 8’s top-down strategy and guides the team to consider environmental sustainability and social justice in every decision we make, including how we steward client’s assets, navigate the markets, and run our company.

Lisa holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State Polytechnic University and is a Certified Financial Planner® and Chartered Financial Analyst®. Her prior leadership positions include managing portfolios for high net worth and institutional investors at Smith Barney Asset Management (now Clearbridge Investments) in New York and Trillium Asset Management in Boston. Lisa is also co-founder of Global Talent, a nonprofit program enabling skilled refugees and immigrants to reclaim professional careers in the US. and currently serves on the board of MoFi, a Community Development Financial Institution serving the Rocky Mountain West.

Lisa balances her workaholic tendencies by spending lots of time running, hiking, and biking through the Boise foothills. She resides with her family in Boise’s North End and is the proud parent of a University of Oregon Duck.
